The Kamtapur Progressive Party today called a 24-hour bandh on 9 March in Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling and Malda districts after the Jalpaiguri district administration prohibited it from organising conventions or rallies in the Dooars.
According to party president Mr Atul Roy, the Gorkha Jan Mukti Morcha, Greater Cooch Behar Democratic Party and the Uttarbanga Bandi Mukti Committee supported the bandh.
