Pawan Kumar Chamling submits his papers from 2 Sikkim constituencies

In Namchi, Chief Minster and SDF president Pawan Chamling filed his nomination papers from two separate constituencies of Namchi-Singhithang and Poklok-Kamrang (newly demarcated from the earlier Damthang constituency after the last delimitation) both in South Sikkim. He had won uncontested from the then Damthang constituency in the last polls.

Since early morning, a huge gathering of party supporters waited for the SDF president to submit his papers to the South District Returning Officer D Anandan at the district administrative complex. He alighted from his private vehicle and walked into the complex amidst huge supportive slogans.
While the supporters waited outside the complex, the SDF chief entered the Returning Officer’s chamber along with few personal aides and legal representative to submit his nomination papers for the above constituencies. MORE...
