With Subash Ghisingh’s Gorkha National Liberation Front (GNLF) trying to make a comeback after years of oblivion in the trouble-torn Darjeeling hills, the Lok Sabha election here is expected to see a multi-cornered fight. While powerful Gorkha Janamukti Morcha (GJM) has declared support for the BJP, the Congress has a sitting MP from the area and the CPM has been trying hard to make inroads into the hills.

Though the GNLF is yet to decide on its support to any party, it is expected to divide the GJM votes.

The GNLF, which had been driven to near oblivion with its leader Ghisingh not being allowed to enter the Darjeeling hills, is making a slow comeback with small rallies it held in the area on Sunday.
