The Dooars Jansangharsh Morcha, an organisation claiming to represent tribal population, has decided to carry out campaigns for the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha in the brew belt.
The organisation has been supporting the Morcha’s demand for a separate state comprising the Dooars and Terai.
“We still stand by the Morcha’s demand and have thought of taking up a consistent campaign to make the tribal population aware on the statehood movement,” said Dhanu Murmu, the general secretary of the Jansanghash Morcha. “We will meet at Jaigaon in the next couple of days to finalise our plan of action.” MORE...
