Eastern Command Adventure Cup 2008

Gangtok Jan 28: Seven teams consisting of troops posted in the eastern part of the country are taking part in the ‘Eastern Command Adventure Cup 2008’ at Bardang in East Sikkim. The competition began today.

The competition begins with a 11 Kms mountain biking followed by a 11 Kms run through the mountains. The last leg of the competition comprises of a 16 Kms rafting down the Teesta river. “A special triathlon, a befitting event to test the endurance and skills of the Army personnel is underway on the scenic tracks of Sikkim and in the mighty rapids of river Teesta,” Army officials said today. “The competition is a trendsetter for scintillating adventure, combining three of the most demanding and exciting sports into one rigorous mega triathlon event,” they added
