The North Bengal Passenger Transport Owners Coordination Committee (NBPTOCC) today announced an indefinite strike from Tuesday in Jalpaiguri and CoochBehar district and Siliguri sub-division of Darjeeling district. The secretary of the NBPTOCC, Pranab Mani told a press conference here that the indefinite strike has been called to protest the bad condition of roads especially the NH 31 in the three districts. No buses would ply in the three districts during the strike, Mani claimed. The condition of the roads especially the NH 31 in the three districts is miserable, he claimed.
