Ghising to contest from Darjeeling again

GNLF chief Subash Ghisingh on Thursday said he would like to contest the coming Lok Sabha poll from Darjeeling in West Bengal hills once again.

Ghising, who has been staying here for the past three days, is holding discussions with his close associates on how to revive his party in the hills, where he was once the undisputed leader, and fight from the Darjeeling seat.

Largely marginalised by Bimal Gurung of the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha, Ghising yesterday met GNLF secretary of Kalimpong branch, Dawn Pakhrin, and former councillor of Darjeeling, N K Kumai, besides other leaders. MORE...
