We have full confidence on our Karmapa: KRC

Gangtok, Sikkim: The Karmapa Reception Committee , a united body of associations here in support of Ogyen Trinley Dorjee as the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa has asserted that the incidents unfolding thick and fast a Dharamshala has not dented the faith of his followers in Sikkim.
“We cannot comment much on reports of unaccounted money being recovered fron the office of the 17th Karmapa at Dharamsala as investigation are on. Let the investigation be completed but such reports have not dented the faith of Sikkimese people who believe that Ogyen Trinley Dorjee is the real Karmapa. We have full confidence in our Karmapa and the Buddhism followers here are feeling hurt on him being targeted in an unjustified manner. Our full sympathy is with our Karmapa”, said KPC spokesperson KN Topden. Though, the KRC is waiting for the investigation to complete the accounted foreign money allegedly recovered from the office of Ogyen Trinley Dorjee at Dharamsala, the organization unequivocally dismissed the speculations projected by national media that 17th Karmapa was an agent planted by foreign country.
“Such allegatiions have been there earlier also. These speculations ridiculous. The 17th Karmapa was 10-11 years old when he escaped from Tibet and came to India. How can a child be a foreign agent? He was also subjected to intense security by the Indian government and has been under observation”, said Tobden.
Topden further pointed out that the Dalai Lama had endorsed Ogyen Trinley as the 17th Karmapa and such ‘cooked up’ projections are also questioning the spiritual leader.
At same time KRC is seeing a silver lining in dark clouds surrounding the institution of the 17th Karmapa.
“At least the investigations are there. It will clear up the whole air. If the investigations will find nothing then the 17th Karmapa should be allowed to come to Sikkim”. This has always been a demand of Sikkimese people, said Topden.
