29 Jan, Gangtok, Sikkim: In a press conference held in capital today claimant of 17th Karmapa Dawa Sangpo told to the media that finally the truth is unveiling to world about Ugyen Trinley Dorje. It may be recalled that Himachal Pradesh Police had raided house and Monastery of 17th Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje in Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh on Friday where huge amount of foreign currencies in six suitcases were extracted from the Gyuto Tantric University and Monastery premises near the Army’s Yol Cantt. An incident have led to suspicion to Indian security agencies about Karmapa’s dealing with China after recovering Chinese currencies in the raid.
Talking over the incident of raid Dawa Sangpo said that the government should conduct through investigation and cancel exile Tibetan government in the country since this is a serious breach to national security. “The money do not make anyone Karmapa, truth cannot be brought with money”, he said. Speaking to the media he lambasted the government for delaying in early investigation which could have been resolved at earliest about Ugyen Trinley Dorje. The recent rally called on 26 September in capital is linked with Ugyen’s black money which should also be investigated in Sikkim, he said. He added that Ugyen’s followers should follow a truth not a money. Dawa Sangpo reiterated to his previous claim that he is always open to prove himself and that test will define who the real 17th Karmapa is. He said that his life is in great danger in present situation but he would accept any fate to die for truth anytime. Today’s press conference was called up by Narbu Yangdup Chholing Monastic Committee, Diu Damthang heading Dawa Sangpo as Claimant of 17th Karmapa.
