Nicole Tamang's escape a setback: Asok Bhattacharya

Siliguri MLA and urban development minister Asok Bhattacharya has termed the escape of GJM activist Nicole Tamang, the prime suspect in the Madan Tamang murder case, a major setback.

"The situation in the Hills had improved somewhat following the arrest. There was widespread outcry against the murder of Madan Tamang and people had demanded justice. Nicole Tamang's arrest was a crucial breakthrough. His escape is a major setback," Bhattacharya said, adding that a probe would nail all responsible for either complicity or negligence in the case.
