Three days after Nicole Tamang, main accused in the murder of Madan Tamang, All India Gorkha League president, escaped from CID custody, the police are still clueless about his whereabouts. The CID, meanwhile, today announced a Rs 50,000 reward for anybody coming forward with information that could help in arresting Tamang. It gave an assurance that the identity of the person who gave the tip-off would be kept secret.

“We are doing our best to trace him. We are conducting raids at various villages. So far our search for the fugitive has drawn a blank,” Home Secretary Samar Ghosh said in Kolkata. He also said that IG CID Neraj Narayan Pandey is going to Darjeeling on Wednesday in connection with the investigation. While an assistant sub-inspector and a constable were suspended for dereliction of duty, no action was taken against A S Pahari, the CID investigating officer, who was in charge of the protection of Tamang. “We will see. In fact the investigation will be done now at the IG level,” Ghosh told The Indian Express.

The Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) which had called for a bandh in the hills for an indefinite period, on Tuesday suspended the bandh for two days. A team of GJM leaders led by spokesman Roshan Giri on Tuesday met Darjeeling SP Devendra Pratap Singh who reportedly assured them of tracing Nicole Tamang. “The SP assured us he would produce Nicole Tamang in two days and on his assurance we have withdrawn the bandh ,” Roshan Giri said after their meeting with the SP.

Meanwhile, Darjeeling seems headed for a showdown between the All India Gorkha League (AIGL) and the GJM on Wednesday. An AIGL delegation led by its president Bharati Tamang is returning from their trip to Delhi where they met a host of Central ministers including Home Minister P Chidambaram, Law Minister Veerappa Moily among others.

While the GJM has already threatened that they would not allow the delegation to enter Darjeeling, AIGL leaders said they had accepted the challenge. “I will reach Siliguri tomorrow with a huge group of party supporters and we will see how we can be stopped. We have told the administration that they would have to take all measures to ensure safe entry of our leaders,” Lakshman Pradhan, spokesman for AIGL, told The Indian Express.

Strike relaxation? What a relaxation for the public? I guess the common people should throw a party as the strikes are becoming so unpredictable and often. People are enjoying, what do you say people?

On a serious note, I am fcked up of some GJMM commenters here who are changing names and writing here trying to show there are quite a bunch of dumb idots still existent.

THE WHOLE GJMM STRIKE SEEMS A REAL DUMB SHIIIT COVER UP. When pondered upon, did the GJMM really need to shout and call an indefinite strike when their own leader is absconding from the police. Actually it should have been the opposition parties, but GJMM had to do the monopoly saying “We doubt Nicole is killed in an encounter, we want Nicole alive, otherwise indefinite strike”.

Now who gave them the idea of an encounter as soon as Nicole escaped? “Escape” doesn’t necessarily mean encounter and death, it means seeking and catching again.

Now comes the politics of GJMM and WB Govt. going hand in hand in this. You may think why? I have got some assumptions, but maybe pretty true.

Assumptions:
1) ABGL are meeting high authorities in Delhi and alike and their only main demand is justice for the murder of Madan Tamang and their request to SHIFT THE INQUIRY FROM CID TO CBI.
2) If Central govt. agrees the CBI thing, which can be a possible step, CID has to handover all available clues including Nicole Tamang to CBI, who can directly pinpoint RB, BG and the whole of GJMM for the murder through Nicole.
3) WB govt. is very happy with GJMM because GJMM is accepting “interim setup” instead of Gorkhaland. WB Govt. wants to enforce this setup in any way by hook or by crook. Nicole can be a big hindrance if the case goes to CBI.
4) Then GJMM will be proved murderers and WB govt. cannot handover the setup to murderers otherwise their own opposition parties like the Congress will burn their asses.
5) The whole thing is a BIG DRAMA and the VICTIMS ARE THE PEOPLE OF THE HILLS. FRUITS ARE BEING CHEWED BY GJMM AND WB GOVT. ON THE EXPENSE OF BLOOD AND SWEAT OF OUR HILLY INNOCENT PUBLIC.

Please end this mindless games GJMM and WB Govt., we already know that both of you are dying for the interim setup and are trying hard to convince the people. SETUP IS IN NO WAY, A WAY TO GORKHALAND, BUT A WAY WHICH WILL ERASE IT FROM THE ROOTS FOR THE NEXT MAYBE 20,30 YEARS AS IT HAPPENED IN GHISINGH’S ERA. The history is being repeated here.
