NEW DELHI: A meeting convened by the Union home ministry on Monday discussed the issue of territorial boundary of the proposed Darjeeling Regional Authority and took note of the revised proposal given by the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha, which is spearheading the campaign for a separate Gorkhaland.

The meeting among GJM, West Bengal government and home ministry officials discussed the list of subjects given by the Morcha for inclusion in the proposed autonomous body. However, no decision was taken on them and another round of meeting would be held next month to discuss the issue further.

"We hope something positive will come out in the next round of meeting," an official said.

The GJM has also asked for adequate and uninterrupted funds to the proposed authority so that development activities can be carried out without any hindrance. The second political level tripartite meeting on the Gorkhaland issue will be held in mid-May.
