KURSEONG, 6 OCT: The Gorkha Jan Mukti Morcha has decided to organise a major rally throughout the Darjeeling Hills tomorrow to observe its second foundation day. Besides, it would also host several cultural and traditional functions in the hills to observe the day.
Preparations are on across the hills by different associations and organizations for the celebrations. The GJMM is distributing party-flags to the shops and houses, which would be hoisted on the rooftops to celebrate the day tomorrow.
A GJMM core committee member, Mrs Prabha Chettri said that Naari Morcha activists have been busy for the past two days preparing traditional delicacies at the Kurseong community. The delicacies would be sent to Darjeeling. She also said items from the Gorkha cuisine would be prepared and distributed among the people at Kurseong tomorrow.
