Four days after the death of 2/5 GR, L/NK, Naren Thapa (38), his body was brought to Darjeeling at his Ging Tea Estate’s residence yesterday. L/NK Thapa was killed in course of an encounter with the terrorists at Mahendra, a small town, in Poonch Sector in Kashmir on 27 January.
Thousands of people including ex-Army men and GJMM supporters gathered at different places of NH 55 to pay homage to Martyr L/NK Thapa, while his body was being carried to Darjeeling. MORE...
