Centre should end impasse: Gurung

The Gorkha Janmukti Morcha has demanded that the Centre should immediately intervene to solve the Dooars impasse.

“Our supporters are not safe in the region. We want the Centre to solve the problem,” said Binay Tamang, the media and publicity secretary of the hill party.

Bimal Gurung has faxed a six-page document highlighting the “atrocities” on Morcha supporters in the Dooars to various central leaders. “The document was faxed to the President of India, Prime Minister, Sonia Gandhi, Union home minister, Governor of Bengal and the National Human Rights Commission last evening”, said Tamang.
